Got my forearm guards today. I think the viking press workout went better but I know I'm still using too much shoulder to muscle the kettlebell up and not enough hip snap. It'll take some time. I better get the movement down or I'm going to have some really jacked up shoulders.

I have an appointment Saturday to go over a nutrition plan. First I have to fill out a bunch of surveys and stuff. More than the other sessions I'm anxious to see what he has to say because eating set calories and decent foods isn't hard for me but the thought of possibly having to revamp my diet makes me nervous because I kinda stick to the same foods.

My word. I don't know if my metabolism is just speeding up or what but lately I've been starving. Maybe it's all in my head. I don't know. I was told doing the interval workout was best for fat loss and would speed up my metabolism. I'm eating roughly 2000 calories a day but I find myself after 2 hours instead of my usual schedule of eating every 3 hours. I'm trying to get more protein in my diet as well as slowly adding more veggies and fruits. For dinner I had mixed greens and 3 ounces of chicken and some raspberries for dessert. And I bought these Greens Plus protein bars. I'll put a review in the supplement section. They're all natural and have like 5 servings of fruits and vegetables in it with 16 grams of whey isolate per serving. They're...green but I don't think they're that bad. Coat anything in chocolate and I can probably stomach it. I'm also eating more yogurt because I need a wider variety of protein choices. Greek yogurt plain tastes like straight up vomit so I'm eating the ones with flavor for now even though they have like 19 grams of sugar. It's better than some other yogurts I've seen and it's all natural at least. And it's very filling. And I feel that first pull up is not far off. That'll be a big goal.

I've come to realization that one of my biggest down falls not only in my health goals but over all is I get too stuck on plans and things being a certain way. I need to learn to be more flexible. Easier said than done but it needs to be done. I'll spend tons time coming up with what looks like the perfect workout plan but then I'll hit a day like today when I didn't get much sleep coupled with being every two hours. Today I just have no motivation to work out and I feel like I've failed myself because I can't complete even a week of being "perfect". I have to learn to let go of that idea of perfect. Stress obviously doesn't help your overall health and getting frustrated with myself only sets me up to fail later. So today I'm going take today off and aim to make up my work out on Friday which is my usual day off. It's supposed to be nice and sunny and I'll be out of work early. And I'm going to go to bed early tonight.
