First of all you must be a registered member to post a thread or post a response in an existing thread. You can register on the tool bar at the top of the screen.
To post a new topic:
If you want to start a new discussion topic (or thread) you must first determine the appropriate board to post it in. From the home page click on the board that you want to post your topic in. Then on the blue bar above and below current topics there is an option marked "new thread". Click on that option and then fill in the Subject line. This will be what other's see on the thread board. You can change the type of Icon that will be next to the main thread topic. Then you type your message in the message box. You can use any of the Tag options to add things like links or to change the font type. Your message will appear as the first post in the thread. After writing what you want to write you can check the spelling or preview how the post will look by choosing those options at the bottom of the page. Once you are satisfied with your post, click on "Post Message". You can also add a poll question to the thread with several different options so that the readers can vote on a topic.
After you have posted your message, you can still modify it by clicking on that option in the post window. You can only modify a post that you made. You can also delete the post
Once you've posted your thread others can reply to your topic. They can also quote sections of your post to emphasize a point that you made.
To Post a reply:
If you are reading a thread and would like to post a reply all you have to do is click the "reply" icon in the blue bar at the top or the bottem of the thread. If you want to quote what some one has said in another reply, you can click the "quote" icon in their reply and it will take you right to a reply page with thier response already quoted.
