I finally completed week 1 of my new workout program last night ! The new program is excellent because it consists of 4 days of weight training, challenging pyramid and superset exercises, and new exercises that hit key areas of my muscle groups that I need to improve. Overall, I am a little sore in the back, shoulder, and triceps area. However, it feels good to upgrade to a new plateau. my goal this holiday is to welcome new weight training exercises, nutritional challenges, and defeat the holiday cookie monster!!!!

Awsome summary. I like the idea of putting foods you disregarded and what kept your focus off them.

Merry Christmas Everyone! There are two more party days for me to get through (Christmas Day and New Year's Eve). So far so good... I've been enjoying the holiday season and substituting certain holiday cravings with other holiday favorites. 1) I did an excellent job backing off of the Xmas cookies from the bakery and grocery store. I went for the gingerbread men instead. The gingerbread men pack a similar amount of carbs compared to animal crackers. Don't get me wrong it is good to treat yourself to Xmas cookies, but it is important control and maintain your eating habit. #2) I backed off of eggnog and had occasional glasses of wine (pinot noir). Now for my 3 week workout update...Everything is going great. Week 1's goal was to focus on correct form and proper execution of pyramid and superset exercises. Week 2, I was able to increase weight and minimize long term fatigue. Week 3, I continued to increase weight and reps for certain exercises to go up a level. My current status is 207 lbs, 32"-33" waist, and some where between 12-15 body fat. My New Year's resolution is to achieve a flat stomach with 6 pack features.

Happy New Year! I want to take the time to do a 2008 recap of the progress I've made with fitness and health. Jan 2008: This was my base. I was 228 lbs and 29% body fat. My weakness was wining and dining in the corporate lifestyle. At this point I looked in the mirror and said it's time for a new direction... Jul 2008: I made some success. My weight dropped down to 215 lbs and my body fat was 18%. I made this progress by making strict changes to my diet and changing workout programs every 8 weeks. Jan 2009: This is the fittest I've been in my life! I am now 207 lbs and 14.5% body fat. I continue to diet correctly and research for innovative nutritious recipes. I am also working on a new workout program that will define me further....This is my 2009 base!

Week 6 completed! I feel great and I'm ready for a new routine. My dieting is still running strong. I recommend a new protein drink called Muscle Milk for everyone that is looking for more taste to their supplement. Chocolate is my favorite flavor.
