Brian mentioned there was a question about PHA training on the board and asked if I would address it. I am a big fan of PHA!
Peripheral Heart Action training uses the formula of moving directly from lower body to upper body exercises back and forth to keep blood flowing throughout the body. There is no rest periods between exercises.
The formula promotes blood flow to move throughout the body due to different muscle groups being focused on in succession. This is the complete opposite of muscle group training where one achieves a "pump" afterwards.
With the blood flow moving through your body up and down, and the rest being little to nonexistent, this workout is tremendous for your heart and lungs. I highly recommend giving it a shot!

. When I saw the title of the post I was like that's weird I was just talking about this then I saw Brian sent you over. So obviously it would be me asking about it. There really isn't a whole heck of a lot out there on PHA training. Can you explain to me a little more thoroughly what the benefit of the blood flow from the lower half to the upper half is? Is that where the cardiovascular benefits come from? And can you explain what you mean by muscle group training to achieve a pump?
